The following information came through to CESPA on 01.05.04 from Interparents (the umbrella organisation of the 12 Europeans School Parent Associations):
The Board of Governors (meeting 29/30April 2004) was asked to confirm that the following language sections will be phased out:
- German: Bergen
- Italian: Bergen, Culham, Karsruhe, Mol
- Dutch: Culham, Karsruhe
This process of phasing out will begin in September 2005.
However if by 31 December 2004 a delegation or any other interested party confirms in writing that it is willing to pay the costs inherent in the employment of the teaching staff engaged to provide the teaching for the section in question, the decision to phase out that section may be reviewed at the meeting of the Board of Governors in January 2005.
This decision was accepted by a majority vote (two against only).
