It's the end of another academic year and I'd like to update you all on the latest developments and give you some dates for your diary!
· TheThe transformation process from the current Type I school to an Academy offering Type III European curriculum has entered the next stage. Over the past year a lot of goodwill has been created with all stakeholders: the UK Department for Schools, Children and Families, the Board of Governors of the European Schools, the European Commission, British Ministers and politicians from all parties. Now the financial implications of the plans are being investigated by Paul Doherty, a government appointed consultant, who will report to the UK Department in September with costings and recommendations. The new Director of our school will be Mr. Simon Sharron. He will start in September 2008. At the moment he is Director ofIt's the Language College at Hove Park School in Hove, East Sussex. Our management, teachers and representatives end of CESPA have already met with Mr Sharron. We all look forward to his arrival in September another academic year and I'd like to a good working relationship!
There is further progress update you all on the Academy front. We have been informed by Lord Jay (patron of ETEE) that there is no longer a need latest developments and give you some dates for up-front sponsorship. The £2 million still needs to be collected in your diary!

According to the decision of the Board of Governors in April 2007, the current school will be phased out from 2010. The proposed new Academy that will take its place, may not start until 2011. We are currently busy organising an intake in Nursery I with Oxfordshire County Council and other stakeholders for 2010, but there are no guarantees yet.
