Parents set up the Lost Property service several years ago in response to a 'non'-system where lost property was piled high into an overflowing cupboard.
The lost property is on the other side of the courtyard behind the after school club.
You can find all items found in the last 4 weeks of school. These items will be available for 4 weeks before going to charity.
There is a sales rack in lost property with unclaimed, washed items of high quality for a reasonable price. A lot of fleece and coats are for sale!
Who staffs it and when ?
The service relies on the goodwill of the parents to staff it throughout the school year. If you are free to open it during half an hour during the week, please volunteer.
Opening times 2016/2017:
Do you have a list of named lost property found ?
Yes, please see the list of named Items updated during the school year.
What happens to items that are not claimed?
After four weeks in the lost property office, items are given to charity or sold to raise funds for CESPA.
Sales rack in lost property: Any very good quality items that are unclaimed, are washed and then sold at functions like Fleamarket, but there is also now a rail in lost property with items for sale at a reasonable price. (items individually priced) Everything from Gap, Next, Nike, Adidas etc....
So if you do not pick up your property, it might be sold!
What do I do if I arrive and Lost Property is still closed ?
If you are not a volunteer and find Lost Property still shut after 3.35 on Fridays, then the volunteer has not arrived and Lost Property will stay shut.
Please, do not ask reception, as they do not have information about the staffing rota.
Try again another time.
Write your child's name in their clothing, sports kit, jumpers, jackets, cardigans and, of course, on lunch boxes.
A simple ball pen marker is often enough.
It really helps to relocate lost items and identify who it belongs to.
