Exchange Students - an opportunity for Culham pupils to travel abroad For whom? For how long? How?

 

This is a great opportunity for Culham ES children to improve their languages, and learn about other cultures and traditions. Most of the kids who have gone have had a great time, and made many new friends. Alicante seems to be the favourite because it is by the beach, they have many fiestas, and seem to eat all the time! However, kids have had a lot of fun in Munich, Frankfurt, Mol, etc,

 

For whom?

Student exchange is available for all kids in Secondary years 3, 4 and 5 at any agreed stage in the school year.

 

For how long?

The kids can go from 3-6 weeks in year 3 & 4, and a term in Year 5, preferably starting September term.

 

How?

The pupils can exchange with any child from one of the European schools across Europe. If your child is interested, you can contact me on xchange@dsl.pipex.com to find out who is on the list looking for an exchange. What's more, if there isn't a child to exchange with, they can stay with a host family on a fee paying basis.

 

The first point of contact is the class teacher who'll speak to the Secondary Deputy Head, who will contact the chosen school's headmaster. They agree the dates, as long as accommodation is sorted out.
