The School Canteen
General Background
Recently there was an assessment of food hygiene undertaken by Oxfordshire County Council Environmental Health Department, and published on Scores on the Doors which is a national public information service where you can find the official local authority hygiene ratings for food businesses.

In view of the 2* hygiene rating standard achieved by the school, the School management met with Ken, our canteen manager, to address the issues highlighted in the report.
Meeting:
In the meeting both the school management and CESPA expressed general overall satisfaction with canteen services at ES Culham. Healthy living and therefore healthy eating/drinking are central concerns of an educational community. The responsibility of all stakeholders is to seek the highest standards that the successful economic running of the canteen permits.
Action Points from the meeting:
1. continued constructive consultation and dialogue with canteen users to help shape plans for further improvements;
2. Menus will continue to be posted on the school & CESPA websites;
3. Improvements in canteen hygiene management with target of 4* in 2010 and
4. More education about food and healthy eating/drinking
The school lunches' caterer is 2 DINE 4. the catering manager, Ken Hall. You can talk to him in the school kitchen in the mornings as he is always happy to help.
Lunch is available to all pupils. In addition, snacks are available to Secondary pupils during morning break.

Lunch tickets may be purchased in advance directly from the Caterers.

Nursery: £1.90 (main course + dessert)
Primary: £2.10 (main course + dessert)
Secondary: £1.90 (main course only)
